Welcome to Las Vegas!

Welcome to Las Vegas Urban Adventures’ new blog! Whether this is your hometown, you’ve been to Sin City before, or you’re planning your first visit, we want to be your go-to guide for experiencing Las Vegas like a local.

Urban Adventures is a global community of nearly 2,000 foodies, history buffs, street art fanatics, beer connoisseurs, wine lovers, and active adventurers, leading unique and personal tours in more than 100 cities around the world. We’re 100 percent committed to creating a positive impact whenever and wherever we travel, whether that’s by going plastic-free in our destinations or by making sure your tourism dollars go where they’re needed most. We believe that every time we travel, we can support local communities and change how people see the world!

UA has been guiding guests through Las Vegas since 2019, and we can’t wait to show you around the must-see sites, hidden gems and best spots to grab a bite. Our Team Leader has a few recommendations to get you started in this world-class entertainment capital!

Here’s what Grant recommends:

Gondola Rides at the Venetian

No trip to Vegas would be complete without checking out the Venetian, and no visit to the Venetian is complete without a gondola ride! Enjoy live serenades from your gondolier as you float beneath bridges, beside cafes, and under balconies along the Grand Canal. The experience is perfect as a romantic date or as a family outing. Want to learn the magic of the gondolier? You can take a short course at Gondola University and learn the ins and outs!

Valley of Fire

If you’re looking for a day trip and some spectacular views (and photos!) of nature, the Valley of Fire is not to be missed. The state park is 40,000 acres of glowing red Aztec sandstone outcrops, ancient petrified trees, and 2,000 year old petroglyphs. Camp overnight in this desert terrain (we hope to be offering this as a day tour soon! For a truly one-of-a-kind experience, visit the park in March for their annual World Atlatl Competition and watch participants test their skills with ancient spear replicas!

Bellagio Fountains

What could be more classic Las Vegas than the Fountains of Bellagio? Stimulate your senses with free fountain performances throughout the day as over 1,000 water jets shoot up to 460 feet in the air in time to opera, classical, Broadway, and pop tunes. Each show is unique and dynamic, so sit back and enjoy some of Las Vegas’ best entertainment.

East Fremont

Find old-school Vegas charm along Fremont Street, a pedestrian center with vintage highlights. The neighborhood is teeming with dining and nightlife options alongside arts and cultural centers like Container Park. East Fremont is also known for its neon, perfect for pictures. Not sure where to begin in one of the city’s hottest neighborhoods? Start with an Urban Adventures Neon Happy Hour & Fremont Street Experience tour!

The Peppermill

In the restaurant’s own words, the Peppermill is “As Vegas as Vegas gets!” Since 1972, the Peppermill has been a go-to dining spot on the Las Vegas Strip, serving up hearty dishes and showing classic films. To this day, the restaurant upholds the Vegas culture of yesteryear, even offering some of their original dishes like French toast ambrosia and the famous Peppermill burger. Pay tribute to vintage Vegas with a bite to eat or a drink from their Fireside Lounge!

Whether you want to try your luck at the gaming tables or love vintage vibes, we can’t wait to welcome you to Las Vegas!
